Advertiser’s Coverage of D Day, June 6, 1944


The first edition of the East Aurora Advertiser after the World War II D Day Invasion on June 6, 1944 was two days later. The issue contained some information about how people responded to the news and announcements of some veterans serving overseas. The following issues included additional details about local veterans from that battle, as well as ongoing advertisements for war bonds and rationing plans.
