East Aurora Village administrators are currently working on draft legislation to present to the Village Board regarding zoning for certain cannabis industries.
Following the legalization of the drug in New York State, communities had the option to opt in or opt out of allowing dispensaries in their borders. The village said it would allow dispensaries, but within certain zoning guidelines. It is now working on those guidelines.
