Once upon a time, a concerned daughter-in-law convinced her husband's parents to move from Syracuse to East Aurora by building them a house. The dad was in a wheelchair and the mother never drove, so as they were aging, they needed a first floor residence in close proximity to their family with wide doorways. Her in-laws agreed to make the move, and the house that was custom built for them in the 1970s stayed in the family until the mother passed away.
