District Closed School Following Student Comments Related to Recent Mass Shootings


A statement made last week by an East Aurora student led to felony charges and to the school closing its doors on May 27 as a precautionary measure.

According to East Aurora Police Lieutenant Patrick Welch, on May 25 a 14-year-old male student at East Aurora High School was participating in a game of trivia during a history class, and the game became heated.
