EA Boys and Girls Club to Host Vaccination Site


The Erie County Department of Health continues to host vaccination sites to combat COVID-19. One is scheduled at the Boys & Girls Club of East Aurora in early August.

On Wednesday, Aug. 4, the department of health will have a clinic at the club from 4 to 7 p.m. The club is located at 24 Paine St. People can register in advance, link and phone number below, but walk-ins will be accepted for the first and last hour of the clinic. It was noted that due to federal and state regulations on vaccine use and waste, the health department may not be able to accommodate walk-in appointments at the last hour of the vaccination clinic. 

The clinic will offer both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Pfizer is for ages 12 and older and Moderna is for ages 18 and older. Both first and second doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccine are available at this site. 

Persons should not receive the second dose of Pfizer vaccine earlier than the recommended 21 days after the first dose. Persons should not receive the second dose of Moderna vaccine earlier than the recommended 28 days after the first dose.  

Vaccine types should not be mixed. 

Also, the county will have clinics at the Erie County Fair on Aug. 11 from noon to 10 p.m. and Aug. 11 to Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. This is at 5600 McKinley Pkwy. in Hamburg, inside the fairgrounds across from the Market Place.
