East Aurora High School’s Drama Club is deep into rehearsals for their spring play, a drama called Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory.
Radium Girls is based on a true story, from post-World War I, when radium was considered a miracle cure and luminous watches were the latest trend - until the girls who painted the watch faces started falling ill with a mysterious illness. The story follows Grace Fryer, a dial painter, fighting for her day in court against the American Radium Corporation.
