The Erie County Legislature appointed James Malczewski of Elma as Legislator of the 10th District on Jan. 5. Malczewski has been the Councilman for the Town of Elma since 2012.
This appointment fills the seat vacated by Conservative Joseph Lorigo, who held the position for five terms. Lorigo was recently elected as a Justice to the New York State Supreme Court in November 2022. Malczewski is the founder and president of Modern Decks & Railings in Elma.
