Free Tour of Episcopal ChurchFree Access


As part of the 150th anniversary celebration of Saint Matthias’ Episcopal Church, free tours will be offered on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The tour will include a brief history of the church from its founding on Feb. 24, 1869 to the present day. 

Included in the tour will be a description of the Episcopal flag and the changes made in the sanctuary, with reference to the Roycroft artisans who have adorned the church with their artistry. The tour will continue in All Saints Hall and the chapel.

Tour guides will relate the organizations that utilize the various rooms in The Barker Building, which is attached to the church.  

Complimentary refreshments will be available at the end of the tour in Morrell Hall and sesquicentennial souvenirs will be available for purchase.

The church is located at 374 Main Street in East Aurora. Those taking the tour may want to visit the Reinhart-Miller Memorial Garden, which is attached to the parking lot with access to Main Street.
