Iroquois Girls Basketball Starts Season Strong


In the 2022-2023 basketball season, the Iroquois girls varsity team is currently 5-2. It has held a three-game win streak during the busy month of December.

The team took its first two games of the season, besting both City Honor and Wilson, before suffering its first loss to Hamburg in a close match, losing 63-61. It then beat East Aurora, Newfane and Williamsville East prior to a loss against Eden. 

For the season, junior Erin Bracken leads her team with 100 points. Mckenna Sinibaldi is second with points scored at 85 for the season. She also has eight rebounds. Olivia Lyons is third with 72 points scored and five rebounds.

The team was set to play Depew on Dec. 28 in a home matchup. Its next game after that is against Hamburg for an away game on Jan. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
