On Wednesday, March 9, the League of Women Voters of Buffalo/Niagara will host a candidate forum for East Aurora Village Trustee candidates.
It will be at 7 p.m. at the Aurora Senior Center at the corner of King Street and Oakwood Avenue.
All four candidates for the three open trustee positions have been invited. To comply with the League’s “empty chair” policy, at least two candidates must participate for the forum to proceed.
The League is a nonpartisan organization. It never endorses or supports any political party or candidate.
The forum is free and open to the public.
The candidates include incumbent Trustee Ernest Scheer, as well as Mary “Molly” Flynn, Katherine Grace Viger and Peter Schwan. There are four candidates but only three seats available.
The League of Women Voters is a good government organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
