I’d like to thank Gale O’Brien for the thoughtful response to my letter regarding the proposed increase in police presence in East Aurora schools. I would also like to thank the Advertiser for continuing to cover the process, as this is a decision that would benefit from community input, not only due to the expense (estimated to be $172,000 by the paper) but also because it represents a very specific perspective on how we address the issues facing our children.
