Dear Editor,
Your East Aurora Lions Club wishes to extend to all our community friends and donors
our heartfelt thanks and prayers for wellness as we wind down our 2020 Blind Seals
fundraiser. As you may know, we annually reach out to our neighbors through insert
letters in the Advertiser and Elma Review requesting financial support for our area works
of charity and compassion. We have never been disappointed in the generosity of the community response. Our petition for support has been more successful this campaign than in any one previous.
While we have been meeting remotely since March, our endeavors to enrich our community have not slowed. We have awarded our scholarships to EAHS seniors, made increased
financial outlay to national, state and area service organizations (many serving the sight
impaired population), and given unprecedented support to FISH, Bread of Life in Colden,
Rural Outreach Center and Alden-Marilla Food Pantry in their efforts to feed our needy
neighbors. We also reached out to many of our seniors, making their Christmas a bit brighter.
Much of what we do could not be as impactful without your generosity. We remain proud
to be Lions of East Aurora, and to have friends like you.
Ron LaBrake
