May Events Planned at Marilla Library


The Marilla Free Library will have a library discard book sale from Saturday, May 4 to Saturday May 25 during regular library hours. The sale will take place in the meeting room of the library, located at 11637 Bullis Road.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the library. The library staff asks that people do not bring items for this event as it is only a sale of items withdrawn from the library system.

The Friends of the Marilla Free Library will begin collecting books for the October book sale after June 28. For more information, call 716-652-7449.

Celebrate Mother’s Day – Stop into the library May 6 through May 11 during regular hours to make your own special card for your mother.

-Are you interested in building, design, or just using your imagination? Let your imagination run wild on Thursday, May 16 at 6 p.m. at Lego Club. We will make cool creations and you may even find your masterpiece on display in the library. For ages 5-years-old and up. Registration is required.

-Bored? Done with your homework? Looking for something to do? Then stop in and play a board game. A variety of board and card games will be available to choose from, old favorites and exciting new ones. Family Game Night will be held Thursday, May 23. Stop in anytime between 5 to 7:30 p.m. Registration is welcome but not required.

-The Friends of the Marilla Free Library meeting will be Tuesday, May 14 at 7 p.m. New members are welcome.

-And the Marilla Free Library Board of Trustees will meet at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, May 21. These meetings are open to the public.
