Betty Jane Penfold died peacefully at her daughter’s home in Wales on Friday, January 21, under the care of Hospice. She was 92.
Born in 1929 in Wales, to Edna (nee Heintz) and Norman Smithley, Mrs. Penfold graduated from East Aurora High School, at the age of 16, and went on to work as a secretary at Marshall’s Insurance Company on Main Street in East Aurora.
