Planning Board to Review Apartment Request

Members of the Town of Aurora Planning Board will be asked to review a request to construct two, 5-unit apartment buildings along Quaker Road.

The Aurora Town Board is seeking a recommendation from that board and made the motion at the Nov. 28 meeting.

The application in front of the town is from PBI Holdings of WNY LLC. It is looking to make changes to an office building at 359 Quaker Road so that it can construct the apartment units. This is located to the west of API Delevan.

A rezone is requested to change the parcel from Commercial 3 (C-3) to Residence 3 (R-3). Town Code Enforcement Officer Elizabeth Cassidy said the C-3 zone does not allow multi-family units and so a change would be needed.

The application from PBI Holdings states it wants to rezone 150-feet by 200-feet.

Cassidy noted that this land is across from a development currently zoned as R-2. Along with a rezone, the applicant would have to go through a site plan development, she added.
