Dear Editor,
I want to be clear that I am not in a discussion about how the East Aurora Schools spend money with regard to School Resource Officers. Not being a resident in that district and not paying taxes there, I would not insert myself into that conversation.
However, the quote from a Jan. 6 letter to the editor in reference to SROs stated, "...at worst, they (SRO programs) criminalize student behavior and contribute to the school-to-prison pipeline..."
