A group of East Aurora students will head to a national rocket competition in May for the first time.
The district’s Rocket Club qualified for the American Rocketry Challenge earlier this month following a local competition. The national event is scheduled for May 14 in The Plains, Va., where the team will go up against nearly 5,000 other students.
It is the largest rocket competition in the world, with 100 teams participating.
