Students Earn Honors at Auto Collision CompetitionFree Access


Five students enrolled in the Auto Body program at the Ormsby Educational Center recently competed in the Western New York Auto Collision Competition in Amherst. 

East Aurora student Gerald McCoy shows his first place honors alongside BOCES Auto Body teacher Richard Drewery.

The competition included dent repair, color mixing and parts identification for the junior division and refinishing and blending color, estimating and plastic repair for the senior division.

Students Bryce Quant of Holland, Gerald McCarthy of East Aurora, Brendan Adanti, Jack Schneider of North Collins and Blaine Stover of Iroquois competed in the daylong event.

In the senior division, Gerald McCarthy earned first-place in estimating and first-place overall; in the junior division, Jack Schneider earned second-place in color mixing and Blaine Stover earned first-place in color mixing and first-place overall.
