The Mystery Of Marilla Rogers

On Dec. 2, 1853, the Board of Supervisors of Erie County held an annual meeting to discuss a petition by residents of Alden and Wales to create a new town within the county. It is known from the historical literature that there were erroneous entries of “1823,” instead of 1853 as the actual date of Marilla’s formation.
