Aurora Players Summer Program Opens for Registration

Aurora Players is inviting children entering fourth to ninth grade in September to enroll in the organization’s long-standing ProjectSTAGE theater camp experience. Enrollment acceptance is on a first come, first served basis and is limited to 20 students per session.

Rail Rider Jamboree Returns to Holiday Valley

The third annual Rail Rider Jamboree Music Festival returns to Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville on Saturday, March 23. The event will feature a variety of bands playing live music, artisans and vendors showcasing their products, food and other events at Holiday Valley. The music lineup includes Dirty Blanket at 2 p.m., Wild Knights at 4 p.m.; Karina Rykman at 5:45 p.m. and headliner The Infamous Stringdusters at 7:30 p.m.

Art Society Welcomes Art Duo in March

The East Aurora Art Society’s general meeting will welcome guest artist duo Andy and Pam Russell on March 14. Andy has been creating paintings based on dreams since 1975. The skies, foliage and architecture, but most of all the “perfect world” feelings, were the starting points for his style called “Extended Realism.” Pam Russell graduated from the University of Cincinnati in Art Education, began her teaching career in southern Ohio, and continued teaching art at Iroquois Central High School. After 40 years, she retired as an art educator.

Annual Maple Sugar Festival Returns this March

Online Registration for County Fair Competitions are Now Open

The Erie County Fair is six months away, but the planning has just begun. Earlier this month, online registration opened for contests at the fair and this year there are several new categories for participants to enter. All entries will be on display throughout the fair across a variety of different buildings and areas.

Auditions Scheduled for Aurora Players Summer Production

Aurora Players Theatre in Hamlin Park will be performing “A Wrinkle in Time” for the outdoor summer production 2024, and auditions are in March. Auditions will be held on Saturday, March 9 from noon to 2 p.m. and Sunday, March 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nativity Lutheran Church, 970 Main Street, East Aurora. If necessary, callbacks will be held on March 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. These auditions are for actors 13 years old and up.

RALA Announces Artisan Jury and Invites Summer Exhibitors

The Roycrofters-At-Large Association (RALA) announces that it will jury its Masters and new prospective artisans seeking membership as Roycroft Renaissance Artisans for its 2024 cohort on Saturday, April 6. Any artist who wishes to submit to the jury may complete a Prospective Artisan application on the Roycrofters-At-Large website, www.ralaweb.com, by March 16.
