Picnic for Iroquois Senior Students

About 80 Iroquois Central School seniors were able to attend a picnic at an Elma Meadows Park shelter last week. Parents, volunteers and local businesses helped host the event, which featured food, games and prizes. Photos of the day are below. All images by Renea Lauck.

Improvements on Way for Dilapidated Storage Site in Village

The Village Board of East Aurora has approved the site plan design for a change in renovation of 636 East Fillmore Ave. As long as state approval is given, a former garage near the ice rink in the Village of East Aurora will be renovated to feature four condominium units.  A motion to discuss revising the dog ordinance at Hamlin Park is also under discussion.

Groundbreaking Ceremony Launches Construction at Outreach Center

With the four-million-dollar capital campaign nearing its goal, the ROC can begin construction of a new building, which will bear the name Scott R. Bieler Foundation Rural Outreach Center. At the groundbreaking ceremony last week, those instrumental in bringing this project to completion recall the journey to reach the goal and re-affirmed their commitment to the goals of the ROC. The new building should be ready in fall of 2022.

RALA Art Festival Returns for End of June

The annual RALA Festival is back, and will take place June 26/27 at the Classic Rink. Along with being able to view and purchase works from up to 40 artists at the festival, attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the highly sought-after Goodie Box. In 2019, the Goodie Box contained art donated by artisans valued at $9,000.
