New Officer Hired for EAPD
The board approved the hiring of Nicolette Pinto as the newest East Aurora Police Department officer on Dec. 20. She will begin next week. Pinto brings the number of full-time staff for the department to 16.
School Still Working on Obtaining Full Time Resource Officer
The former SRO for EAUF Schools, Joe Ferrara, retired in June 2021, vacating the position. Officials are hopeful that two SRO positions can be created: one part-time and one full-time, meaning that a full-time SRO would be responsible for the high school and a part-time officer would split time between Parkdale Elementary and Main Street Middle School.
