Former Business Official Shares Reasons for Joining School Board
East Aurora resident Paul Blowers was formally appointed to the East Aurora School Board on July 7 after a seat was unexpectedly vacated in May by former board member John Sigeti., building on his years of previous experience working with the district. In addition to the auditing committee, Blowers is on the finance committee and the facilities committee, and he has agreed to take part in some of the Erie County Association of School Board’s meetings.

School Board Seeks Applicants for Vacant Spot
The East Aurora School Board is accepting letters of interest and resumes by 5 p.m. on June 23 to the district office from candidates interested in pursuing the vacancy in the board due to the recent resignation of John Sigeti. Officials say that filling the vacancy will not involve a special election, but intend to review and interview applicants for appointment at the annual reorganization meeting on July 7.
