The Roycroft Campus was the host to the second in a series of four Erie County Bicentennial events July 28, honoring “Trail Blazing Women of Western New York.” The event featured panel discussions and regional native music, as well as information on the history of the women’s rights movement in WNY.

Group to Honor Trailblazing Women Throughout County
Trailblazing Women of WNY have enough money secured to embark on its first project: creating and installing three sculptures of women who have had influence in the surrounding area and beyond. The first three monuments will be installed in front of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, located at 1 Lafayette Square in Buffalo, and will highlight three local women of historical note.
