The Holland-East Aurora Indoor Track and Field Team enjoyed some new scenery this past weekend as the team traveled to Buffalo State College for its first meet at that location in almost two years.
Eric Lawton, Holland Central School District’s new superintendent, has special ties to the local community. His resume includes years of service in the Pembroke, Iroquois and Williamsville North School Districts, as well as principal at Cassadaga Valley Middle School. He also served as Holland Middle School Principal for 12 years, and most recently, at West Valley Central School as superintendent.
The Holland Central School Board met Monday, July 12 for its yearly reorganizational meeting, with the regular monthly meeting held afterward.
The schools of East Aurora, Holland and Iroquois each had 10 students receive this honor, and another 10 students were recognized for their work at the BOCES W.D. Ormsby Educational Center as part of this year’s Chamber’s Choice Awards.
Holland, Iroquois and East Aurora Schools are all in the process of finalizing individual summer school programs and deciding what will be offered. Each district is hoping to get information out to parents soon so that families can plan out the rest of their summer months.
Holland Central School District Superintendent Cathy Fabiatos has announced that she will retire from her post at the end of the current school year.
