The Rural Outreach Center announced that Monique Albee Brannon has been promoted to Chief Operations Officer, effective immediately. Brannon has served as ROC’s director of development since 2019 and previously served the Greater Buffalo community in various leadership and development capacities for over 15 years.

The Rural Outreach Center (ROC) has received a grant of $50,000 from the Buffalo Bills Foundation to support the Scott R. Bieler Foundation Rural Outreach Center and name center’s kitchen as The Buffalo Bills Foundation Kitchen and Buffalo Bills Nutrition ROCS program.
The ROC recognizes that there is significant overlap between these determinants of health and the determinants of poverty. Thus, addressing one will affect the other. They have been honored with the “Community Star” award from the National Office of State Offices of Rural Health in recognition for their work.
On Dec. 9, The Roycroft Inn will present “The Lounge Lizards Holiday Spectacular.” Local musicians come together to celebrate the season with Christmas carols from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests who attend are asked to bring gift cards from local supermarkets, restaurants, retail stores and other local businesses so Rural Outreach Center can offer them as holiday gifts to local families in need, and Dec. 11 Santa will be onsite collecting toy donations.
Recently, the Lions Club gave a $5,000 check to the Rural Outreach Center to continue to support and help the organization with its expansion project.
