County Health Reports Higher COVID-19 Hospitalization Rates

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced this week that all adults 18-years-old and above who had a COVID-19 vaccination over six months ago could obtain a booster shot. This comes in hand with findings from Erie County showing an increase in hospitalizations and airway assistance in ICUs.

In recent data released by the Erie County Department of Health, the underlying cause of all of recent deaths from COVID-19 is not completing the vaccine regimen. The county has started to see a higher percentage of people test positive for the disease in recent weeks, and the area is now considered a “substantial risk” for transmission, an elevation over “moderate.”

EA Boys and Girls Club to Host Vaccination Site
